Project Overview

The innovative Tom and Helen Flynn PLEX, affectionately referred to as "The PLEX," is the highlight of Alvernia University's new East Campus. The PLEX is the most ambitious expansion in the university's history, spanning 15 acres and adding more than 100,000 square feet of academic and recreational space to campus.

The 35,000 square foot academic wing houses a state-of-the-art teaching lab and cutting-edge, interprofessional education programs ranging from athletic training to nursing to social work. The recreation spaces include a 70,000 square foot field house designed to provide indoor facilities for a variety of athletic activities. The highlight of the new space is the six-lane, NCAA competition level indoor track.
