Project Overview
This fast-paced renovation saw the transformation of an existing tenant space into a unique, modern office for the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance (GRCA). The GRCA wanted to consolidate their employees and resources into one space.
To make the best use of the existing facility, the project team created a mezzanine to house additional working areas. This addition necessitated the removal of the existing drop ceiling, which created an exposed industrial look throughout the space. To ensure that there would be sufficient working space for GRCA employees, most of the duct work was relocated to an adjacent hallway, freeing up significant ceiling space. The exposed ceilings and remaining systems were painted black to add to the overall aesthetic of the office.
The new facility includes multiple offices with glass walls overlooking the entrance, space for cubicles and open collaboration areas, and a break room with a kitchenette.
