ExtraSpace Storage Facility

Project Overview

Constructed in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, this three-story storage facility features 800+ temperature-controlled units ranging in a wide variety of available sizes. The township has an ordinance in place regarding the specifics of a building's exterior and landscaping, so this facility was constructed with a unique office-style brice and concrete facade, complete with windows.

Due to the condensed nature of the site, the project team dedicated extra time to the development of logistics plans for parking, deliveries, and the usage of heavy machinery. With assistance from the township and a nearby hotel, Burkey utilized surrouding parking lots to alleviate some of the site's space challenges.

To combat material delays due to the state of the supply chain during construction, regular virtual meetings were held with the client throughout the project's life cycle.
