Project Overview
The GoggleWorks was conceived as the art focal point for Berks County, Pennsylvania. Housed in a renovated post-WWII factory building, it was previously home to Willson Safety Products. The center contains multiple gallery spaces, 40 studio spaces, a wood shop, a 125-seat theater, dance studios, a ceramics studio, and a state-of-the-art glass blowing facility.
The renovation encompassed the main building - a five-story, 135,000 square-foot facility - and three smaller buildings.
At the time of construction, this building was the largest of its kind in the country. The GoggleWorks Center for the Arts won the 2005 Preservation Award for the Restoration of a Factory Facility.
