Project Overview
Before moving into their new facility at the Knitting Mills, UGI required state-of-the-art office space and ample training areas to support the staff that would be occupying the building. Burkey was brought in to complete a full fit-out of the second and fifth floors to meet this need. The team installed high-level room dividers utilizing structural steel and a unique, architect-designed digital wall printing to elevate the existing space and create a modernized office.
Due to the age of the building, the structure had shifted and tilted over time, which required the team to utilize creative methods when planning layouts and outlining phased areas of the space. The high ceilings required the use of lifts to install ceiling grid, fans, and lighting, but lift usage needed to be thoroughly coordinated because of tight spaces and the proximity to other scope areas.
